NIB Dial Indicators and Magnetic Bases
The use of dial indicators is the best way to get precise measurement of movement. You may want to measure the spine of an arrow shaft or the trueness of something spinning around an axis (tires, axles, tool bits, etc). only get White Face indicators.

The magnetic bases can be turned ON to hold
against ferrus metals or in the OFF position
to release easily from their position.
These are designed to hold the above dial indicators in infinite positions with the pivoting
and swinging arms of the holder.
They are heavy (about 3.5 pounds before
