ATTENTION!!

Due to the shoddy workmanship of my supplier of wood (Jorry's Hardwood of Ogden, Utah) and due to the extreme price increase of some exotic woods and due to some of the wood no longer being available, we are not able to supply any spine testers until probably Spring.
We will take down this notice when we are able to make a deal with a reputable supplier that takes pride in their work and will provide a product meeting our standards. Our HOW TO CD will still be available. No one is more disappointed about this than us.

This is the Archers-Friend Spine Tester "Spindle" Model.

This model of our arrow spine testers features the same components as the DOWEL model above except that this model uses hardwood SPINDLES instead of dowels to hold the Rod Guide in place. This is a fancier option and only slightly more expensive.
Choices are good and we will be offering more in the near future.

FEATURES

These arrow spine tester models feature the Base, Uprights, and Weight Guide made of POPLAR and the Dowels and Spindles are of available hardwood. The wood is routed for nice smooth edges. The wood is ready for you to finish in your favorite fashion.

The brackets are Brass and the all of the mounting screws, bolts, nuts, and washers are of Stainless Steel.

The Weight Rod is of mild plated steel and is precisely weighed on a postal scale to within 1/10 of an ounce.
The arrow shaft rests on Rollers to prevent friction from giving incorrect spine readings.

The Dial Indicator is accurate to .001 of an inch. The indicator has 1 inch of travel capacity and this allows for the testing of shafts from 26 pounds, and our chart goes to 125 pounds, which is enough for most archers to pull.

The Base that holds the dial indicator is fully adjustable and is even magnetic, not that the magnet feature could be used on wood, but this allows the dial indicator and the magnetic base to perform other duties which makes your investment worth even more.

The Archers-Friend Spine Tester is shipped with complete and easy to understand instructions and a chart of arrow deflection to spine rate. The instructions and chart are included as hard copy (printed) and on a CD.

The CD also contains several pictures to help you set up and use the tester. The text on the CD is in Microsoft Word© and the pictures are in jpeg format. Windows© 95, 98, 2000, and XP machines will have no problems with the CD.

This is the Archers-Friend Spine Tester African Mahogany Model.

This model features the same components as the DOWEL model above except that this model uses African Mahogany instead of Poplar. This wood has beautiful grain structure and when properly finished, you will be proud to display the piece in you living room as well your shop. The dowels or spindles are made of available hardwood. The weight rod is not shown in this picture for a better view of the piece.

This is the Archers-Friend Spine Tester Red Gum Model.

This model, as the name suggests, is made from Red Gum. This wood has very good grain structure as you can see and is just beautiful even when unfinished. We do recommend that all of our spine testers be finished to protect from moisture from the air, just as you should finish your wooden arrows. Again, this model features the same components as the other models described above.

PLEASE NOTE:

The African Mahogany and Red Gum wood supply has limited availability, we never know how much we can get from order to order. We will offer these models as long as we can obtain the wood. With the world turmoil being as it is, the supply could end at any time. All of our testers are made one at a time and each is given a through inspection.

The dial indicator and magnetic base has a 1 year limited warranty from the manufacturer. Archers-Friend warrants the other parts of the Archers-Friend Arrow Spine Tester. These warranties do not cover abuse or neglect. We want to hear about any problems or concerns that you may have (although we do not think there will be any) by telling us about it. We will make every effort to resolve them.
